Oh, Snap: Fortune Cookie Wisdom

In a modern day, 21st century world – good advice can come from literally anywhere and everywhere; we just need to be one with the universe to hear it.  To me, Fortune Cookie’s provide a unique,  thought provoking viewpoint on the way our world is currently functioning.  I don’t know about everyone else, but I actually save all of my fortunes in a little, embellished jar for safekeeping.  Nothing like going back through them and seeing how your world has shifted!

Quotable: Emotional Abundance

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.  ~Ray Bradbury

Quotable: The Beauty of Impermanence

One day some people came to the master
and asked: How can you be happy
in a world of such impermanence,
where you cannot protect your loved ones
from harm, illness or death?
The master held up a glass and said:
Someone gave me this glass;
It holds my water admirably
and it glistens in the sunlight.
I touch it and it rings!
One day the wind
may blow it off the shelf,
or my elbow
may knock it from the table.
I know this glass is already broken,
so I enjoy it — incredibly.

Quotable

“I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value.”
